I got a torn note of Rs 500/- from ATM, what should I do to change the note?

Taken from ATM after banking hours.

If you have a damaged note then you should be able to turn it in to a local bank to be replaced as long as you have both halves, or one piece that is greater than half.

If half is still in the ATM machine then I would return to the bank with that ATM in hopes that they have recovered the other half of the note themselves.
