Americans are the last people anyone should accuse of being insensitive to a terrorist act.

It s a huge day for weddings here and unfortunately, our media has been focusing on that. Over 40,000 weddings today across the country.

But this, and not weddings is on the cover of yahoo, so don't think we have forgotten. http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20070707/ap_on_re_eu/britain_terrorism

People in this country move on, unless it concerns them like 9/11. Also, people look at the date as a whole 07/07/07. They are not looking at the date as 07/07/05. People here, for the most part do move on. By the way, there are a lot of weddings happening in this country today because of the belief that it would be lucky.

I don't think the yanks are any more ignorant about 7/7 than we are about 9/11, but there are a lot more of them than us, so by default more have not noticed the link.

it was sad when that happen to England, and it was sad when 9/11 happen over here. Why do people have to do things like that, The whole world should love one each other, it would be a happier place to live, we should be all friends

Nope, it's a date.

It will be remembered for the 7th July killings but I think that was more to coincide with the possible celebrations of winning the Olympics than because of the fortune of the date.

I honestly don't think they meant to offend anyone, least of all us British, it is considered a lucky day numerically today as sad and upsetting as it is for those poor unfortunate people who lost their life's here, no I don't think their ignorant or insensitive, just not aware of what day it is for us today.

You will find you are on the UK and Irish board.

To answer the question I have seen some questions that are blatantly insensitive but most are just because like some others have said it is a good day for them (weddings, birthdays etc).
