I'm not in an area that has a Chipotle around. I'd like to know if they use microwave ovens during the preparation of the foods. If so, at which point in the preparation do they use them?

Even better...if someone has worked there and knows for sure if they use them at all in the restaurant...that'd be great!

I have eaten there. I dont think they use a microwave oven. I have never seen one at the one I ate at in Aurora, Colorado. I believe they use boiling hot water, to keep the food warm while they keep the food hot and on display for the customers.

I can't imagine why your would want your food to taste like Casa Bonita but to each his own. Here is how to make real Chicken.Cheese enchiladas that will taste even better. I promise Start with fresh corn tortillas (not in a package) you can find them over on S Federal Blvd. Get a can of Las Palmas enchilada salsa verde. One half chicken with skin & bones, breast half only (you may want to have them cut this in pieces so it fits in the pot. You can use chicken breasts but the skin & bones improves the flavor. 1 small can salt-free chicken broth. About 1/2 pound of shredded Chihuahua cheese - again Federal Blvd. 1/2 small sliced onion several sprigs fresh cilantro. 1 bay leaf Cook in a 9" x 12" pyrex pan. Spray with Pam. Heat oven to 325 Put the chicken in a large saucepan, add the broth and enough water to cover. Add onion, cilantro and bay leaf. Bring to boil and simmer partially covered for about 25 - 30 minutes. Cool slightly and remove meat from bones. (the strained broth makes killer chicken soup) Add a few tablespoons of enchilada sauce to chicken and set aside. Heat sauce in a medium fry-pan over a low flame. Dip each tortilla in the sauce, submerging for just a few seconds. Make sure to cover both sides. Remove and fill with chicken and cheese - about 2/3 1/3. Roll and place seam-side down in pan. When you have used all the chicken, sprinkle any remaining cheese over top. Here if you want them authentic toss in the oven for about 15 minutes. You can cover with any remaining sauce is you want them saucier and then bake. You can add a little sour cream as garnish. Sit down and enjoy. .

I don't think they use microwave ovens. The food (like meat) there are fresh. It looks like it just came out of the cooked oven. But their burritos are the bomb.

I don't think they do. However, I am in the minority as I really don't care for Chipotle and everyone else loves it.
