I think that this hatred of Paris Hilton is based primarily on envy. I asked a few of my friends why they thought that Paris is hated so much, and the reply , without exception. was that they could not understand why someone with her enormous wealth etc. would drive drunk and make a video having graphic sex with her then boyfriend, and why she is considered a "door knob" in Hollywood, because it seems that everyone has had a turn with her, I think that the envy stems from her "wealth" more than anything else.
