Not really.....there is what we call a gay community, but I have found that some do not participate. I have many friends who do not go to the gay bars and such. They just lead their own lives, working, and hanging out with friends. Some people do not make everything in life about being gay.

Depends where they life. Most large cities have certain areas that gay people settle but that's different with each community. As far as the rainbow...please query that in the "search for questions" options. This has been asked countless times and that is the main function of the search bar, to find questions that have already been asked/answered.

NO! NO! NO!

Gay people are just like you! They are everywhere! They are your neighbors! They are your co-workers! They are your clergy! They are your policemen and firemen (also policewomen and firewomen, of course)! They are your doctors and lawyers, your athletes, construction workers, etc. They are mothers and fathers, sisters and brothers, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, grandparents.

You are surrounded by more gay people than you know, and I would bet you even have some in your family, whether you know it or not.

Gay people are very tolerant of personal differences and tend to accept evryone for who he/she is, hence the rainbow flag. It means that they accept diversity and difference no matter what color they come in. It means that they see things as beautiful where others may not. A rainbow is a cheerful symbol. It symbolizes the greatness of what is, and what is to come for the gay "community."

Its kind of like a subculture . Many gay kids run away from home or get kicked out . They form their own little tribes in citys . The adult scene revolves around the bars for socializing .

I live in the NJ suburbs. I'm the only gay grrl in the neighborhood. My "world" is pretty average, I work, pay bills, mow the lawn, do house chores, just regular boring stuff.
Gay people aren't different in any way other than who we love.

Sure - It's a lifestyle just like bikers have their own haunts, or surfers. People just like to be with others who are like them.
