When magnesium is subjected to reaction with hydrochloric acid it forms MgCl2 and hydrogen gas is generated as shown below :


Mg + 2HCl -------> MgCl2 +H2 ;
Here, chemical reaction is taking place ,hemce it is a chemical change.
