I just find it very annoying when I ask or someone else asks a question and I see an answer all in caps lock. If you use caps lock it means that you are yelling.

I know! Do they think it's a new toy. Oh look, that little light stays on my keyboard when I press this button, and ooh lookie big letters...duh! That bugs me and it's rude. Sometimes I capitalize one word for emphasis especially here since we cannot use italics. I say we round up the "Yellers" and spank them. I have a paddle....and a riding crop...and some other things...yeah let's get 'em.

Using cap locks on a word or two is fine to make a point,but I agree with you,all cap locked is yelling...=)

Yep I totally agree with you. Although we don't see each others faces we should follow net rules and do not write in all caps. And I do think that it affects the answer not to be chosen as "best answer".

It's not my strategy. I only use all caps to emphasize a word or two, not the whole answer.

You are absolutely right! Maybe the person who submitted that answer is unaware of the concept. I'm sure it wasn't to get chosen as best answer, but that they were innocently unaware of the rules of etiquette. I hope you have a marvelous weekend! Annie

i freakin hate caplocs with a passion. i always feel like im being yelled out. i have never picked someone who answered in all caplocs as best answer
