I have looked into the whole job loss to outsourcing and the FTA's recently, and was very surprised that my preconceived notions were thoroughly throttled by a more in depth analysis of the realities of them. You might consider doing the same thing? It turns out the damn conservatives and Clinton were right to do what they did concerning free trade and outsourcing. You can imagine my surprise as a liberal Democrat to have to eat some crow. It goes down the gullet mighty hard.
So, may I respectfully suggest you take a look at real numbers before swallowing the propaganda whole? It is very enlightening.
The most I can say against it is my main concern about the whole mess is that there seems to be no end to corporate greed. And although the numbers show a small increase in our manufacturing jobs over the last 13 years since NAFTA and free trade, I believe our vital manufacturing bases, such as steel and such, have declined. If it weren't for such manufacturing bases in WWII, we would have been screwed.
As far as China's treatment of their people is concerned, I leave that to the people themselves.

As long as corporate America is allowed to shut down facilities in the domestic areas and replace them with cheap slave labor in foreign countries this will never end. I’d be VERY interested to see how many manufacturing jobs were lost (in comparison to those lost prior) after the conservatives pushed NAFTA down our throats.

The same reason our government allows third world cheap labor to flood our workplace: Greed.
