Interestingly, putting on a brave face when having doubts or experiencing fear is actually a shared human experience requiring a committed conscious effort to do so.

Yet when faced with life and death decisions in the spur of a moment, such as a soldier on a battlefield, or a cop in a shootout standing between innocent civilians and an armed felon, or even a stranger coming across an accident and jumping head first into a car or burning building to rescue somebody at their own risk and peril --

The faces of bravery with all its negative feelings do go out the window -- While only the sense of determination, survival, and offering human aid and assistance take over and remain. Even with training in/for such circumstances, still, as all this is an unconscious but instantaneous effort and response, it cannot be forced nor preplanned out previously.

But keep up the brave lil face anyway, eh?!

Yes, I guess I do. I was taught as a child to never show on the outside what is going on inside you. This of course does not apply to every situation. Occasionally. someone will try to bait me with some stupid situation, and I know that it is not true, but I will go along with the gag without betraying my own feelings.

Of coarse! That's part of my personality, I've always been known as the "tough girl". It's my persona, but I feel we all get a little scared once in awhile. If you say you don't then you are lying to yourself and everyone else!

Yes I do.
At the end of the day, my attitude and my frame of reference is my choice. I want to go through life happy. I choose the positive and work forward from there.
