Thank you dearly for the thought. There are those who opposed the soldiers doing their work overseas and there are those who support them. I am presently here in Afghanistan doing who I signed up to do. I every public support from our citizens (U.S.) swells our hearts with pride, duty and honor. So thank you and please don't ever give up on us. For God and the USA, we love you.

I know every day I say thank you to someone in the service. I work on a military base. My husband is retired military. My daughter is engaged to a reservist. My son is currently serving in the middle east.
I feel every day people should say thank you for serving out country and keeping us free.
It is not just the miltary members that serve, but also there families. We are the ones who help pack up loves ones to send them to a far away place and sometimes we do not know if they will come back alive. It is scary and i know I do not put up with anyone talking bad about our men/women who are dying on forign ground.
They are fighting to keep people free. Some say it is not our fight. If other countries do not intervein and we ignore them. It will move to our areas. IN WW1 they learned that. The US would not join in the fight to stop the spread of germany's army until US civilian ships were sunk 3 years into the war. We did not join WW2 until Pearl Harbor. it does not seem we starting activily fighting in the middle east until after 9/11.
Does it take a loss of american lifes for others to step forward and fight? Think about that and you might remember why we have service member willing to fight in the middle east. It is to keep people ree to post without a fear of jail, death, etc.
Want to thank you for reminding others of that. I know this is an area I have strong feelings about if you can tell

This will see me unpopular now, but since I care less about anything from nameless and sightless people half a world away -
I have not thanked any for the last decade, since the praise only goes to them for worthwhile acts. Ie: defending the country from hostile armies, not attacking a country under the pretence of terrorism and nuclear arms, in a vain attempt at changing the world to conform to western views and opinions.
I'll wait until there is another world war, or when the americans stop pushing their beliefs onto other nations or Australia faces a land invasion before I even think about what true gratitude is about.

Daisy thank you for always reminding us of the service to our country carried out on a daily basis by our Armed Forces.
They are always in my thoughts and prayers. I just finished an IM with a special friend in Iraq. I don't know, and I never know when I will ever be able to do that again.
I'm tired of party lines and government infighting. I want our troops home and a peaceful solution to this problem.
I join you in your prayers, and thank everyone else who is praying for their safe return as well.

1971-1988 US Air Force. Thank you so very much for your kind words of appreciation. It was a honor to serve my country during the Viet Nam conflict.

Thank you for taking the time to remember the veterans and their families. I am a veteran of the gulf war and I appreciate your thoughtfulness. My wife actually thanked me on the 4th for my service to our country. I thought that was awesome! God Bless America and our troops. God bless you, too!

My dad is in the Army and the only thing I thanked him for was breakfast. Few people think to thank our military and that every branch of the service doesn't get as much credibility as they should. Just my thought.

sorry ...can't say i have.
before i was going to join the marines ...and they told me in order to understand my unit, i would have to obatin and understand the 'joy of killing' ...now i don't know what that is, nor do i ever want to find out...
so in essence i don't trust anybody that carries a gun, whether it be the enemy, some religiuos fanatic, our troops, gang mambers, or even the police ...i fight with my mind, and my friends do too ...anything else has no honor.

Why would I thank them for taking part in the unprovoked invasion of a country, the orchestrated failure in capturing bin Laden, the killing and maming of thousands of innocent people and their military families putting a burdon on the system?
