Absolutely not.
A holiday that falls on a weekday is the same as a weekday in the entire cell phone industry. I worked for VZ and so many people were upset when over on minutes for a day such as Thanksgiving Day. It is a holiday but a traditional Thursday.

Whom ever said this to you is wrong. And do not believe the statement. I am here to save you $$$$$$$$4 and if you do not believe me call Vz. and get the straight answer.

Talking on holidays is not free. You still have all of the other benefits though, free in-calling (Verizon to Verizon), nights and weekends, no roam in the U.S. and long distance in the U.S.
