We the people have defeated the Amnesty bill, which was nothing more than a recycled version of the 1988 bill, which failed, which Congress failed to support, which allowed another 12 million or so murdering illegals into our country. Yes, I said murdering.

Illegal aliens kill daily on average 12 American citizens. For you socialist pacifists, that is more than die in Iraq and Afghanistan combined. Not only do we have terrorists killing Americans we have illegal aliens doing us in at home.

I am starting a letter writing campaign to congress and will continue daily until I get a commitment from them to require the states to arrest and detain all illegal aliens and to hold/prosecute without bond all who are indicted for felonies, to require USCIS to pickup and deport all of these that are not suspected felons, to fund fully CBP, to give 90 day notice to businesses requiring compliance or have the business closed during investigation.

Oil Companies - your argument is flawed, they already pay taxes, just under a false ID, they are in fact helping with Social Security and the Income Tax as they pay into a false account, which of course the government keeps.

I believe the Congress should set up a 5 year plan for illegal aliens or send them home. Yes, it's harsh but it is their choice to do it or go back. The plan is, they will have 6 months to a year to start the citizenship route. Which would include, learning at least broken English and not relying on the 'no English' crap. Take the citizenship courses and paying proper taxes like the rest of us do.

5 years would be for the ones that are already living illegally in America. But for the thousands and more that come all the time it would be a 2 year system starting as soon as they apply for a green card which would be mandatory at a strict boarder.

They want the rights (marches and protests in California for example) so make them take the right steps to earning all of them and continue to be functioning citizens. Same punishments and rules will apply for the freedoms they are fighting for. Only seems fair to me. I will keep immigration close in mind when voting for the presidential elections.

What the public does not realize is that once an illegal alien is arrested and jailed, he is ineligible for being bonded back into the US.

If the illegal alien posts bond at jail, there is supposed to be an "immigration hold", compelling the inmate to be sent to an immigration holding facility. Unfortunately, the databases are not always checked once a person is arrested; thus, if the inmate is bonded out within a few hours after arrest, the immigration hold has not put into place.

Once someone has been tried or pleads guilty to crime, and completes the requisit jil time, if any, then the inmate is suppoed to be automatially transfered from County Jail (or state prison) to the immigration holding facility, to await deportation (removal) proceedings.

Thus, there is a system to prevent criminal illegals from remaining the US; however, its effectiveness is sometimes hampered by negligence or gliches in the system.

I have always thought that going after the employers is the best direction if it's done regularly and ruthlessly. How about fines that actually make it not only financially detrimental to hire illegals but that could actually threaten the very existence of the business. But I guess that's why I would never be President, because if it were up to me I think a fine of about 20,000 per day,per employee for every illegal alien that is knowingly hired sounds like a good start. The current penalty structure is such that it's still financially beneficial for an employer to hire illegals, they end up saving more money than they lose in fines. However based upon a 40 hr work week if you used the number I just gave it would be around a 5.2 million dollar fine for knowingly employing an illegal alien for one year,no way do you make that work as a reasonable business practice.

Illegal aliens molest 8 American children under the age of 12 per day, also.
As to illegal aliens, Congress needs to use every resource, like how about the Texans, the citizens of Arizona, New Mexico, California, Louisiana, Alabama, Florida, and Mississippi? We have attitude, are all angry, and almost all of us own an arson of guns, and other weapons. We are unafraid, and ready as HELL!

PS Illegal trespassers won't leave on their own, as I am sure you and other's are aware, in peace. When have any of them given a care for the Americans desires, or even for NOT breaking our laws? Doesn't seem to be they give any concern for our country, just taking from us! The government can't even budget the money the taxpayer's pay to them to hold for your security, so what makes you think it's possible for them to save you from molestation from an illegal? IT IS UP TO US, as everything else is!

Dude. I totally agree with you on all that you said.
However. Many of us also don't realize what that amnesty bill of 1986 did. It allowed the "legal" immigration numbers to be raised per year by 50%. To be raised incrementally by 15% per ten years there after. We have more people coming into America every year than those born here every year. This is done through what they call "daisy chaining". After one illegal is given legal status they can file a petition to bring more of their family members here, whether it is a brother in law, cousin or whatever.
We must take our country back and lower ALL immigration numbers period, legal or illegal. We've shown we can do it before, we have to keep up the pressure on our elected servants for more and better immigration numbers and control.

Haha I can't believe someone above me hasnt pulled the race card yet.

DEPROT THEM ALL. Logistically, it is quite possible. Wait for the illegals to rally again. Have riot police and the National Guard round them up into cattle trucks and send them back acros the border. That is in no way a civil rights violation - THESE PEOPLE ARE NOT CITIZENS HOWEVER THEY ARE CRIMINALS.

Also, build a damn wall. Hire mexicans to do it. If the chinese could do it 3,000 years ago, why can't we? Couple their enginuity with the type of security the Russians had at the Berlin Wall and this immigration shi** will slow down real quick.

At random times and places like at the grocery store, post Department of Homeland Security Agents to spot-check proof of citizenship by checking ID's, and the ones who get busted will be put in shackles and loaded onto cattle trucks and sent home.

Now, I realize that in this way we will NEVER be able to get rid of ALL of them, however we need to do our best to make these CRIMINALS feel unwelcome and downright miserable. We need to spread so much fear among them that is will not be worth the worry to break our laws any longer and remain here unwelcomed.

Build the 'fraking' wall, then put them on the other side of it.

As for those not native to Mexico, put them on the other side of the respective ocean from whence they came.

Hiring should be penalized heavily. Saying you didn't know doesn't cut it for me, employers run checks on those they hire, if they don't know then it is by virtue of not wanting to know: "the don't ask don't tell" of the labor driven industry.

Then the most important part of the equation, would be to allow our BP/National Guard/Police to enforce our laws. If an illegal is found by our police, they should have the authority to detain them, (without arresting for crime, which allows them process) then turn them over to ICE whereupon they are duly returned to their own country.

1) Secure the border. Walls, fences, electronic detection systems, more Border Patrolmen, whatever it takes.
2) Arrest those who hire & rent to them.

You would see illegals self-deport very fast. The come here for jobs, no jobs, they leave.

3) Set reasonable quotas for LEGAL immigration.

I like the excuse that it cost to much to deport them, heck $200 for a one way flight is alot less than having one criminal use of an emergency room, a few days in jail or even the time for cops to book and release them. I'll even contribute my frequent flier miles.

Yes i most certainly will , it is the Congressman's responsibilities to vote the way that the majority of the ones that voted for him think and if he does not live up to that then yes he should be voted out and since i do not agree with amnesty I shall definitely vote against the Congressman or Senator from my state that does endorse it
