I think it speaks more to people wanting to a have memorable time at their wedding. And, who will ever forget a date like this?

Apparently so. I just saw on the Today show that the Little White Chapel in Las Vegas has their busiest day ever ahead of them. Over 700 weddings today. I guess anything that may possibly bring you luck in your marriage is a good thing to do. I'd like to know where the superstition started that same number of month/day/year is lucky. I think it's because it happens only once a year. Plus in Vegas triple 7's will win so it's especially lucky there, I guess.

Before my daughter got pregnant that was the original date of their wedding. I LOVED the idea. BUT next year on 8 of the 8th of the 8th...THAT will be a SPECIAL date. The orientals consider this a very lucky day for some reason. When Princess Beatrice was born on the 8th of August (8) of 1988, the Chinese believe she was quite gifted.
