The NPC is defined in the 1982 Constitution as "the highest organ of state power" without being identified, as it was in the 1975 state constitution, as "under the leadership of the Communist Party of China." In addition, the Constitution states that "all power in the People's Republic of China belongs to the people." Although the preamble makes clear that the nation operates "under the leadership of the Communist Party of China and the guidance of Marxism-Leninism and Mao Zedong Thought," the trend has been to enhance the role of the NPC.

Yes. There is one political party recognized in China, the communist. The government is communist. They have socialized medical care for all citizens, assigned living quarters (in some places) and work for everyone.

They also utilize a free market model economic model for certain cities. As a result their economy is growing in leaps and bounds and they are quickly becoming powerful and important participants on the world market.

Karl Marx's Das Kapital was in essense all about economics and in which he usurped the existing socialist model and made it an absolute economic paradyne .

Marx proposed that in order to go from the horrors of industrial revolution capitalism to his Nirvana state ,it would require a transitory period requiring an absolute dictatorship.

Marx's Das Kapital is in essence all about an ECONOMIC SYSTEM and not a POLITICAL one.

It was only during the Russian Revolution that people like Lenin devised the POLITICAL DICTATORSHIP sysyem that would be used in combination with Marx's economic "socialist" system.

This new political system became known as COMMUNISM but over time the term Communism was used to refer to the total combined political and economic systems.

In our own society we have an economic system called capitalism which operates within a political system called a democracy.

A Communist government that has as it's economic system ,capitalism which China now has ,is no longer a Communist state but rather merely a left wing dictatorship similar to many right wing dictatorships in that they both have capitalism as their economic sysyem.

Officially, yes; in practice, no. The Chinese eventually figured out that communism was a disaster which had found a place to happen, and it has now gone basically fascist.
