I moved to a different house last year and did it all barefoot. Being barefoot is normal for me so it was no big deal. Some of the people helping me thought I was nutty, but I don't care. They just don't understand the benefits of being barefoot.
I _DO_ wear shoes when moving heavy furniture, however. Moving heavy furniture is one of the few things that case me to put on shoes. I don't have time for smashed toes, and there's just too much opportunity for that when moving heavy objects, especially when other people are helping you.

I haven't moved in the past ten years that I've been barefoot but I've helped some friends move, carried boxes and all kinds of stuff. Mostly had furnished apartments so no extremely heavy furniture to move, but book boxes and the like. I just don't put them on my foot ::grin::

I am barefoot now and often drive like that too.I wouldn't move house like that though as there's too much risk of getting injured. I'd probably wear toetectors for that !

I am barefoot most of the time unless I have to go out. I hate to wear anything on my feet but I pamper them daily to keep them looking pretty.
