Yup this is fast..

try going to

www.bandwidthplace.com/speedtest/

will tell you your ACTUAL download speed along with the connections speed that should be...

Done count on what the Service Providers promise..

That's not bad......fast cable internet is upwards of 5 kbps which would be 5000 but you will be fine with what you have.

Your upload is right in line with cable internet so that is what you must have.

I have Time Warner Cable and I get 48 to 4900 kbps with the exact same up-load speed that you are showing.

Well. Compared to most houses in Australia. yes.
I have 8mbps (8192kbps) downstream (about 789KB/sec transfer rate).

and 384kbps Upstream (about 50KB/sec transfer rate) and we pay $89.95AUD here. I have ADSL.

Your speed is pretty decent, and its above a lot of connection speeds.

if u r using a satellite connection its very very good.
if u r using DSL its good
if u r using SDSL its not good
