How can everyone help to take down this Don't ask don't tell policy the military has? Almost all of the homosexuals I know are in the military, including my girlfriend and its just not fair. They fight and die for their contry just like anyone else but the don't ask don't tell policy implies that they aren't even wanted in the military. My girlfriend is in Iraq right now fighting for a country that doesn't even think she should be there

There was a news story about that this past week. The military is reevaluating it's policy because they have lost so many valuable people especially interpreters. I expect they may announce a change in that policy before very long.

With a court challenge - all the way to the Supreme Court - based on equal rights. Of course, with the Supreme Court being the way it is right now, you would lose. About all I can say is it is going to take time. The "don't ask don't tell" policy is a joke, but its still an improvement from what used to be. I guess its time for another improvement for you - I wish you good luck and a LOT of patience.

I FEEL FOR YOU AND YOUR FRIENDS BUT SOMEBODY WHO IS IN POWER SHOULD DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS AND IN MY OWN OPINION THE DON'T ASK, DON'T TELL POLICY IS TO PROTECT THE PERSON OF DIFFERENT SEXUAL ORIENTATIONS NOT THE MILITARY, SO LETS JUST MAKE IT A LAW THAT PUNISHES SEVERELY THOSE PEOPLE WHO DISCRIMINATE AGAINST PEOPLE IN THE MILITARY BECAUSE OF SEXUAL ORIENTATIONS.
