In my opinion I prefer home school.I used to think public school was better until I actually left and found out none of my friends were true friends...so I just stick to my one friend and not have to worry about all the crap and drama from school.

I am a Homeschooling Father, and have been for 10 years. I am now giving the keyboard to my 15 year old son, who has never been in public school, although he has been given that option for several years:

I've hung out with people that go to public school, and their standards, personalities, jokes, and friends are all different. (not for the better) They are afraid to be themselves because of what other people will say, where as I couldn't give a crud what people think of me. Their jokes are sick. And the people they hang out with are the kind of people that will take you down the wrong path. I know some public schooled teens that are very much like me. I don't think that someone is a jerk or has horrible standards just cause they go to public school. I am saying that 99% of public shoolers that I know are stuck up, sick, rude jerks.

Public school. You need to learn the socialization skills early in life, and there's no place better than public school.

However, it takes effort at home to get a really good education. I believe public school is foundational, but parents need to supplement a child's education in the home.

I have seen a lot of positive results from home schooling, but I think home schooled kids miss out a lot in learning how to get along in the world. It also requires being a good self-starter. So, to public school, I went and sent all of my children.

public. my father was in the military so we moved a lot. there were rarely kids my age in the neighborhood.
my socialization skills would be worse than they already are if i was home schooled.
