If you are a fan of the comic character, then it gets 2 stars out of 5.
Just as a stand alone action flick, probably a 3 out of 5.

In my opinion the film is one of the poorer entries into the Marvel film series. The directors last attempt at a supehero franchise; Daredevil, will show you exactly how good this film is going to be. The plot line is a good re-telling of the comic's idea, but it fails to capture the excitment and the energy of the character. Nicholas Cage is as wooden as in any role, and is far too old for the role. His relationship with Eva Mendes never seems believabe, the enemies are ridiculously easily beaten, the plot line is non sensical and the item that the enemies are fighting for is a little bit of a magaffin; just something that quickly ties the plot line together.
Having said that the visuals are stunning, and the CGI used to great effect, but it is not enough to save this, especially in the face of other, far better Marvel offerings

on a scale of A-E. A being awesome and a buyer and E being run away. Its a strong C, maybe a C+. Its a strong renter, but not a buyer. You wont be disappointed, but I have seen better.

nic sure screams an awful lot. its your regular superhero flick anyone could've done what he did but i guess they needed a familiar face.

if you know anything about the comic, its garbage. if your just watching it for entertainment i'd give it a C/C +.
