Yellow labs?

I have been around several yellow labs and think they have been bred too much or something. The ones I watched acted retarded and were almost uncontrollable why?

I have an Yellow Lab and my husband thinks she is retarded, but he is jealous because she won't listen to him!!!

labs don't 'grow' up until 3-5 years old.
I know a lot of people that own all the colors but they don't have the patience to train tehm and therefore they give up a dog without training doesn't have anidea of how to act.
