i was out earlier collecting a package and, as i had a spare 5 minutes, i decided to pull into my local BMW showroom for a quick look
a lovely convertible caught my eye, so i opened the drivers door and got in for a feel of the car
as i was caressing the luxurious soft leather steering wheel, a portly balding salesman came waddling over. without saying a word he burst into a mad fit of laughter, like a hyena on speed
when i asked what was so amusing, he replied
"its your driving position. its absurd. you have an absurd driving position. mwa ha ha!"
can someone please tell me what an absurd driving position is?

some of them seem to forget that they are sales staff and don't own the BMW showroom....ignore them!

these kind of people do my head in. the fact he is a salesman at a bmw showroom suggests he thinks he is better than everybody and considerably more upper class than you. i got the same sort of thing. i bought an expensive car although i dont look like i could of afforded it and i got rude behaviour as if i was a time waster, all the way through the test drive, till they saw i was actually buying it and their complete attitude switched to mr nice guy. ignore him, he's probably on 15k a year

He just sounds like a plonker. You can give staff lots of training and teach them how to close a sale but what you can't teach staff is common sense and good manners.
That chap was extremely rude, you have every right to be offended. Lets hope he is in the minority and the most other BMW showroom staff are nice people - you gotta have faith in humanity!

Because you are used to being slumped over a bin lorry wheel, which is fairly large and has a flat angle, you must learn to sit upright and relax more.
Move the seat back a few noches, bend your elbows slightly, your arms should be straight when you reach for the top of the wheel, and now take a few deep breaths.
Make sure the head restraint is level with the top of your head.

An absurd driving position is clearly one in which you are behind the steering wheel of a BMW.

I don't know , but you have to assume one to sit in a BMW! Apparently, the pedals are off centre in the foot well, so you are sitting at an angle. Sounds very uncomfortable. Don't worry about the salesman, he's just an idiot!

I'm sorry, I can't help there but I do know that I would've told that fat bald salesman where to go...He was obviously just jealous because his repertoire of driving positions is limited because he is so fat.

There is no such thing. You should make a complaint about him and get him fired. Make it look like he sexually harassed you!

I would have to know how you were sitting, other than that is sounds as though you are too sensitive.
