This is what lawyers do. They rarely object on philosophical or ideological grounds. He was being paid to consult, so consult he did based on the legal merits.

Sure, I wish he wouldn't have, but I don't think this altogether negates his position on abortion. After all, if Mitt Romney can be a pro-choice, middle-of-the-road Taxachusetts governor as of two seconds ago then surely we can permit Fred Thompson's rather minor sixteen-year-old indiscretion.

No, just the liberal agenda. They know Thompson is really popular right now, with the potential to beat out their socialist-pretending-to-be-liberal candidates, and are introducing their smear campaigns. It's the only way they can win against him.

I expect a lot more attempts in the coming weeks because they feel threatened by him. They should be. Hillary can't hold a candle to him.
