As a quadriplegic, I use voice recognition and for a mouse I use a joystick I control with my mouth, to click and double click there is a sip and puff tube I blow into to do the clicking. There are many different ways you can control your computer, the best way to explore them is to visit a local assisted technology center and let them evaluate what your needs may be. For the phone I use a hands free voice activated speaker phone.

I have a disability that doesn't affect my body very much. I have post traumatic stress disorder. Disorder simply means many symptoms. I have: DID (multiple personalities). This means, in part, I "lose" time, sometimes min. hours, days, weeks and months. I don't know where I am at times. I don't know what I've done. I don't know how I got there, how long I've been there or what I'm there for. Suddenly I am talking to someone I have never seen in my life. I have to try to act like I know them and it's alright. Suddenly I'm somewhere and don't know how I got there. One time, all of a sudden I "come to", and I am a stripper. What a head shot! Think of the possibilities, and you will probably come up with some of the things I "wake-up" to. It's a really scary disorder. The pain of it really, is that it scares other people when they find out. All most know about it is the movie "Sybil", which is not reality at all. Then I have a few other odds and ends that are just as fun as Multiples. Not a fun answer, but a true one. oops, that doesn't exactly answer your question does it?
Sorry, I don't have any tech equipment for h/c. I'm not gonna erase all that I wrote though. : )>

Blessed Be.

btw if I had to guess, I would say have your own fun thing too.

Blessed Be & hugs to you

At the radio station where I work, there doesn't have to be anything special added to the phone for me to hear better because all I have to do is turn on the phone button on the mixer and bring it up into the speakers. That's a cool perk of working in an environment designed for audio. Otherwise, I don't think I'd be able to hear on any of the phones they have there. That's extremely important when I'm trying to hear someone's exact words when conducting an interview. I also run the audio through SoundForge and amplify it if I need to go back over what they said (and of course cut out audio clips.) Yet another perk. The only thing is that I can't hear two things at once well, like if I have the satellite network in cue while listening to something on automation. That causes timing issues, but I'm watching the lights on the satellite receiver now to remedy that.

My cell phone has a good, strong earpiece as well, although I usually hold that up to my better ear.

Oh, for those of you who use JAWS, that's a GREAT program! A professor at my college used it for most everything (he's legally blind,) and it was a lot of fun to see just how it worked. I was his assistant one summer, and had to configure the program to work properly with the sound card. We still never could find a Russian applet for it though....

I dont but should have a head set for my phone. Its very painful for me at times, especially when I am put on hold for almost an hour trying to get through to my phone company or my bank.

I have to restrict how long I am on the computer, cant "overdue" it. I dont think there is anything to help out there as I cant use my arms for very long. Something to correct typos would help ! :-)

Being legally blind , but having some sight, I use Jaws and Zoomtext, although I've got my computer set to a font size where I don't always have to use the accessbility devices so much now.

it would be superb to relax the room all the way down to sixty 8 levels, confident the kit will final longer and run greater proper at a cooler temperature. If the corporate does not go with to spend the little money to relax the room off enable them to spend an incredible form of money changing the overheated blown kit, what are you going to do ? wish that helped you.
