I am a 40+ slightly overweight female. I am invisible.
I have seen my kids walk in and out of the room I'm in, and then call for me, because they didn't see me. I have been standing by my husband's side when someone asked him where I was, and he had to look around to find me. I have waited for service while others who came in after were served first.
The secret is not how to become invisible, but rather how not to.

Not at home but always when there is a crowd of people I may or may not know. I feel like I want out of there. I feel out of my element when there are
crowds--I feel invisible. The last thing I want is to stand out; I'd rather
be a wallflower than stand out.

Yes at the grocery store. Then the cashier tells me she has seen me there before and all I could think was that my invisible cloak is not working. LOL
I just used to think no one paid attention to me, but I was wrong.

Yeah sometimes. I appreciate it sometimes. It's hard to be in the spotlight with every one watching and waiting for you to slip up.
