The innocence, the lack of responsibility, playing from morning until dark all summer, family vacations, Christmas morning, watching good cartoons on Saturday mornings.

An innocence of life that has been perverted into the narrow confines of an adulthood that I rail against everyday..overtly and covertly..come to think of it..I don't miss it that much..I was/am afraid that I was born old...I miss reading and Thor causing thunder and lightning in the southerlies that would explode after the 100 Degree heat of Summer days that would never end..Nah,I don't miss childhood..only my unfettered imagination that reality will never touch.

My family and friends who are physically no longer here with me.
My family being together in one place. Being a kid. My childhood rocked and I miss it alot.
Being hairless and not worrying about waxing and shaving.
Able to run around all day without much effort.
Not worrying about old age, incontinence, wrinkles, sagging bits, stress of life and living, money, how I look, adult stuff.

Oddly enough, I miss the weird nightmares I had as a child. They frightened me and I knew I was alive. As an adult, I don't have nightmares and life is amazingly boring with the overall enjoyment of a breakfast cereal made from shredded cardboard.

In childhood i could play whenever i wanted. Parents loved me to allow everything. They guided me anywhere. There was no struggle. I really miss it.

Most of all I miss my mother telling me goodnight and giving me a hug and kiss. The next morning she would repeat the process and say "good morning glory".I was her little flower waking up and then she would get us set up for the day and be off to work.Every Saturday she would make a huge Cuban sandwich with fresh ingredients and cut it in six equal sandwiches.five children and one for herself.Ahhh, those were the days.
