Just finished his sixth Women's Murder Club book and was checking out his website. ABC is making a series in the fall with the four original members of the club. I think it is going to be so cool, and I don't usually watch television but I sure will in the fall.

I love Patterson's written work. His books are excellent. However, I have seen a couple of the movies they've (translate Hollywood) made from his Alex Cross books and I've been grossly disappointed. Along Came A Spider was a top-notch book, but the movie was unsatisfying. Over half of the plot was missing. From what I understand, writers lose control when a book is taken from the author and given to the screenwriter. The Alex Cross series is an excellent series, so I was really disappointed with the movie.

I sincerely hope they do a better job with this series.

Neat! I'll have to check out the site. I hope he has retained some creative control as he has with his books that he's co-authored. The man knows how to tell a story! I read an interview with one of his co-authors who said working with Patterson was a real education; his mastery of plot and character details, the ways he knows to have readers want to keep turning those pages, was amazing to watch. He'd read a section and then immediately offer suggestions on how to make it go better. I know TV is a different medium but I think he could do as well there.
