News Flash people America is the only western country struggling with the concept. Europe have been on the ball for a wee while. What is so scary about trying to save resources for the planet?
Yes the melting will be in a couple of decades but we are hitting the point of no return on the amount of carbon NOW. If we try to deal with the problem when the ice caps melt we will be in serious trouble because it will be too late. Its like pulling the brakes on a car - sorry SUV (I know how much you like them) going at 100 miles an hour when you find yourself in the air after going over the edge of a cliff.

There is no doubt this planet is in a warming trend....as noted by slight overall increases in the global temperature as well as an increased loss of certain (small) areas of the artic ice shelfs. It is also likely that humans are playing a part in this, whether it is a small part or a larger roll is uncertain, but it doesn't really matter.
The fact is this planet has gone and will go through cooling and warming trends. We have really only extremely limited knowledge as to why. We will not be able to stop a warming trend (or a cooling trend) with the knowledge we have now. As a species we need to be able to adapt to this change.
Being mindful of tearing up our planet isn't a bad thing though, our most precious resource is our fresh water, and there is nothing that needs our attention more than that. People should not go about blaming others because weather reaches extremes, these events may be rare towards your small life span but in the broader picture are probably much less rare.

As stated before, temperatures on the Earth are in a continuous cycle, just as the Sun has certain cycles of producing more/less heat. Currently all of the planets in our solar system are warmer, although slightly. This is obviously not due to anything we humans are doing. Also, all places where ice caps may be melting just happen to be above active volcanoes, do the research and find out for yourself. Finally, what is your issue with God? What does the planet potentially warming have to do with God hurting living things?

The main problem is that people don't want to believe that we're causing global warming. Since they don't want to believe it, the irrational people will look for some explanation to confirm what they want to believe. So they'll tune into Rush Limbaugh or go to some bogus website like JunkScience.com and latch onto some misinformation, like that the sun or volcanoes or water vapor or carbonation in soda pop are responsible for global warming. That way they can continue to drive their gas-guzzling SUVs with a clear conscience. Irrational people are very good at finding ways to believe what they want to believe.
Another problem is that the American media is biased. They try not to be biased by giving both sides of the issue equal time. The problem is that the vast majority of experts have come to the consensus that humans are the primary cause of the current global warming while only a few disagree, but the ones who disagree are given equal time in the media. So then people say 'wow, there's a lot of scientific debate on the issue!' when in reality there's a broad consensus among scientists. In its attempt to be fair and balanced, the media is in reality creating a global warming denial bias.
The third problem is that Al Gore has become the face of global warming. While his film did a great job of bringing the issue to the attention of the masses, it also gives conservatives a (stupid) reason to dismiss global warming. They see Gore's face and say 'ah, global warming is just another liberal lie' and dismiss it, because they think 'liberal' is a bad word. It's sad that our country has become so partisan that such a crucial issue is dismissed by so many just because a liberal politician is trying to bring attention to it.

Ponds that were 6,000 yrs old have evaporated in the Arctic
Texas (parts) are flooded Heat waves of record have hit the US and other parts of the world Greece has had the worst forrest fire in a few centuries
Pakistan and India have had multiple deaths due to heat waves
Plant and animal species are dieing out
Northen England has been hit by flood Australia is in record drougt
And that list is just from this summer most of which happened in the past month
--------------------------
But no Global warming is a myth -
------------------------------------------
Or is it all in aid of not starting a panic - ?
All these people who so vehematly deny global warming - Do they not own a window and if they do are they not allowed to look out of it ?
-------------
The world has changed in a short time and while one set of scientists say that the predictions they have made were too conservative another set argues over the cause of "climate change" while another denies it completely
Some time ago a group of scientists warned of a point of no return - Once we get past a certain point in the warming trend - There won't be a dam thing we will be able to do to stop or slow it down -
Are we there yet ?
That group hasn't been heard from for a while - Discredited ? Maybe I don't know - But absent - I do know and yes that opinion is now absent -
Maybe all this denial is just to stop a panic over somthing we can't change
And maybe there is no global warming at all - ?
Would the oil company lie to us ?

Everyone knows that global warming is real. They just don't all agree on the cause. The experts don't even agree. All we know is it's getting warmer. That doesn't mean that it won't get cool again.
The people who panic about global warming are generally the ones who don't believe in God and think this earth is all we have. This earth was never intended to last forever in it's current state.
We should do what we can to care for the earth, but lets not panic, jump to conclusions and spend billions of tax dollars until we are sure what the problem is and what the solution should be.

1st quit your drama-queen attitude.
It's not that nobody cares, its that we have bigger issues to worry about here and now, that could wipe out the human race within 10secs. We have immigration, the war in Iraq, possible problem in Iran, Al-Quieda. With the exception of Immigration, each of those problems could result in Nuclear attacks that will make humans extinct! So instead of using all are time worrying about gases that at the soonest, will really hurt us is in 10 yrs, that takes a low priority.

Your hysterical rantings do not help your case. And as a matter of fact I have never seen melting ice caps, I am willing to bet that you have not either.
Given your extreme reaction to people who merely question an unproven scientific theory you prove once again that liberalism has morphed away from being just a political philosophy and has become a religion.
Look how upset you are getting because we have questioned your dogma. Did we commit blasphemy?

Mars is losing its ice caps just like earth, it has had the same average temp increase also, Must be the SUN causing this unless our CO2 is traveling to mars!
Wake up people!
