Now I know that this is an extremely serious situation BUT there is also something sickeningly funny about it too. Two girls in Oklahoma, a 10yr old and a 12yr old have been arrested for kidnapping a neighbours baby and leaving a ransom note for £100,000 . The poor mother must have been at her wit's end and my heart goes out to her but on the other hand, puttting aside all the serious cases like Jamie Bulger, there is just something about it that kinda hits the funny bone. We as a society just don't think of 10 & 12yr olds as kidnappers, that distinction is usually reserved for hardened criminals not children and I have difficulty seeing this without thinking "Someones Extracting the Michael". Before you judge me too harshly remember I do have a twisted sense of humour.
SO Could you see humour in this report..?

Did you read about the 11 year old girl in Alabama who was drunk driving and the cops tried to pull her over and she fled driving up to a 100 MPH before crashing and the video caught the look on the cops face when he saw it was a11 year old girl. Kids these days they are out of control I tell ya!

WTH does "someone's extracting the Michael" mean?
And, no, it's not funny, it's perverted that pre-pubescent children would even think to kidnap a baby and ask for a ransom. I have a quirky sense of humor, too, but this just isn't funny.

I guess because I'm a mother myself I don't see the humor in this!! Your right it's sickening but not funny!! Those kids watch to much T.V. If they were my kids I would have them locked up for a week !! Let them cry it out in the jail and show them what could happen in real life if they were to do anything like that when they get older.

I used to years in the past. Like, lots. I nonetheless have scars on my arms from getting clawed o_o yet now never (: for the reason that 2 are married and 15-17 years different than for me. and that i eventually get alongside with my different older sister. mostly cuz we've our very own computers and agree that mom is stressful.

Awww, you missed the best part where the two girls mother saw them with the baby, asked about it and they said they found it on the corner!
I guess if you're going to kidnap/steal something, maybe it would be best to not live with your mommy when you do it.

i see a tiny bit, but ONLY because the little boy (Brandon) was returned safely with no harm done. i know that the 10yo thought it up because she was mad at his mom, and the 12yo went along for whatever reason. they shouldn't be jailed for life, but they should be taught a severe lesson so that this doesn't happen again. some time in custody, perhaps time in a juvie facility with time to be scared and time to think about consequences.

Well, they only went for a 100.000 ransom. That is not as bad as a million, right? Who who knows, the little tykes might grow up right after all...

I can't see the humour in it but my humour is quite dark and sarcastic as opposed to twisted or sick.

It is not funny at all, think about the poor mother. Her kid has just been snatched from her.
