Every year there is someone who will make fun of me and I'm sick of it. I don't want it to happen when the new school year starts, so what can I do?

Unfortunately there isn't much you can do to stop someone else from being a jerk. The best thing you can do is just be your self and try not to let the insults bother you. If you have a quick wit you can always reply with a snappy comeback that makes the person feel stupid. After a while they will leave you alone because they will either get tired of being made to look stupid or will realize they are being a jerk.

Some examples you might use. When someone comments about your clothes or hair, say thanks for noticing and offer them the name of your designer or hairdresser. If they criticize your personality say something like "I'm just putting on an act because I don't want to make you look bad" or "I just wanted you to have someone to make fun of because I know it makes you feel better about yourself".

Self depreciating humor can also be effective. If someone tells you you're funny or weird, say something like "I know, but looks aren't everything".

I know how hard it is to be one of the kids who others pick on all the time. I was that kid through elementary school and junior high but it started getting better as I got older. I had someone spit in my face before. I've had someone comment "it's about time you got something cool" when I brought a little plastic football with a Raider's logo to school. I had to deal with name calling, intimidation, and everything else.

The best thing you can do is just be yourself and try not to let the insults bother you. It can also help to do things that boost your self esteem. Get a new hairstyle. Start working out so you look better and/or lose weight. Just make sure you're doing for you and not to improve someone else's image of you. And no matter how tempting it might be, don't ever do anything against your nature just to try to fit in. Even if it helps you gain friends in the short run, you will be upset with yourself for compromising your values in the long run.

It's so hard to say. Some people respond better to being totally ignored. Some respond better when you just stand there, totally still, and just stare at them without any expression. Some will back down if you get closer to them and attack them verbally.

You can always get an adult on your side in school and ask the principal which method they think would work the best. And what to do if the person continues to make fun of you. (The principal will probably pull the kid in to have a talk with them.)

If that fails, have your parents visit the kid's parents to explain the situation.

(Keep in mind that sometimes a person makes fun of you because they have no friends and would like you to be a friend.)

Just ignore for ppl judgment and especially for whats going on around you for good. To be honest ppl in this country are very judgmental and if you let their judgment bother you so much , you'll never goanna succeed or live happily. Just be happy and be with only who accept you for who you are. And for those who make fun of you are those who are may be jealous because you are good looking, smart or better than average so pleezzzz don't change who you are for anything and especially to fit in with those who thinks they are sooooo cool. The bottom line is the important thing in life is what you can do not what you look like, where you from or what people think of you:) B U NO MATTER WHAT:):):):)

Ignoring is the best because the reason people make fun of you is to get a reaction out of you. Also, my friends started writing down all the bad things people would say about them and then they showed teachers and the people bullying were suspended.

I went through the same thing as a teenager, & what I go through now in my life I would change things I would be stronger & tougher & just stand up to them & suffer the things that would come out of it, I think if the person who is doing this is confronted might be shocked if you just stood your ground & said "why are you doing this to me" & see what happens, If I could go back in time, well mabey things would be different, really what can it hurt to just get totaly pissed right off & say you have just had eneough of this BS, try it you might be surprised from the outcome.

I'm really tall, when I was in school,I was the tallest in the class for ages. When short little boys asked me why I was so tall,I always responded I wasn't tall They were short.Take the insults and turn them around with a gracious smile.Think about a good clever retort, not offensive but a little sting.Works better than being abusive back or ignoring.

Unfortunately, you can't control what other people say because there's always going to be someone who has something bad to say about someone else. You can only try to make more friends, ignore the loser who's making fun of you, or just tell them to f*ck off.

first keep in mind if you give them eye contact you are also giving them "consideration" or acknowledgement of their existence. If you do not give eye contact you do not accept them so that is one thing to consider. I would give them eye contact with no expression to pressure them to keep talking. probably it won't take long for them to say something stupid and they will start to realize what they are doing is not cool. do not forget that everyone watching is judging you so if you get emotional and upset it is thought to be a weakness so best if you act mature and also keep in mind they want to get a reaction out of you so if that does not happen they will move on to another person to harrass

OK here is plan B: you must research your enemy. find out what do they like and what are they good at and what are they a failure at. use their weaknesses against them and if you can try to set them up like having a teacher in the area when they do it again
