When I was little the flying saucers were all the rage, so my favorite monster was the "Man from Planet X."
The Gillman in "The Creature from the Black Lagoon" was pretty scary too. They didn't have CGI back then so it took some great costumes and costumed actors to make these monsters work.

Gamera ... which is the Japanese word for 'turtle' ... I loved Gamera best when I was 'little' and he's still my 'favorite monster' ... but I collect turles of all kinds, too ... I used to be a 'hare' and did EVERYTHING FAST ... now I collect turtles to remind me that the turtle is the winner in the Tortoise and Hare story ...
