Yes, as compared to previous generations. Past generations had to deal mainly with racial issues, but we still do that now. Homosexuality wasn't much of an issue then, neither was divorce or teen pregnancy as common, punishment in school was still allowed, etc. Some of these things just were not tolerated. I believe we live in a more tolerant world today because people have started to accept things that were not-so-long-ago, unacceptable. However, I'm not stating my opinions on any of these issues - just making an observation.

This planet is going to hell so fast it's about to burst into flames! The world is growing more & more intolerant with each passing day. It's more than just race, too. People these days are a lot more hateful than they used to be. What makes it worse than old-school hatred is that everyone is trying to sweep their hate under the rug. It's just in humans to be hateful.
Imagine: One race, one color, one religion, one nationality. A very Klanlike goal, but there would still be a "reason" to hate someone else. Sometimes, I think people actually look for reasons to put down each other. I hope the lava in the core of the earth rises up & drowns us all (at least those who don't instantly melt).
