You may not choke to death but you will not get enough oxygen to promote or even maintain all the cells in your body at a healthy level. In fact it seems that your brain cells are already being deprived. On a more positive note if it is a cheerio maybe it will help prevent any high cholesterol problems for you in the future.

If you are choking the amount of air that you could suck through a cheerio would not sustain life. That's IF the cheerio even lodged in the correct position to allow you to suck air through it (which is about as big a chance of a snowball surviving in hades) you would not be able to suck enough air through it to live.
