Thats when the nightmares begin!
Tortoise & The Hare Post Race
Tortoise, impressed with his win! Boasted his coup over Hare to everyone he seen, "Slow & Sure I was every step of the way! While Hare fast and hasty decided to nap! I meandered over the finish line! I deserved to win! Alas for now I bid you all adieu for I am exhausted from my victory walk!"
His audience breathed a quiet sigh of relief! It was too bad Hare had lost to Tortoise. He used to be a pleasant fellow to be around now he was simply insufferable!
Tortoise tucked himself inside his cozy shell and went to sleep. His victory over Hare colored his dreams and his ego grew enormous!
Several hours passed! Tortoise awoke from his refreshing sleep with his tummy rumbling! It was time for him to eat!
He began to poke his head out of his shell and discovered to his dismay he couldn't!
Something was terribly wrong! His head couldn't go through the opening for it had swollen 10 times larger than normal!
What was he to do? How was he to eat? He couldn't get out and nothing or almost nothing could get in.
Poor Tortoise was really getting hungry now and thirsty!
He could feel the panic rising within him! Was this how his life would end? A prisoner trapped within his own house! How Horrible! Tortoise shuddered!
He was stuck for the rest of the day and night in his shell without either food or water. Occassionally flies and crickets flew by or hopped over him to tease and torment him once they realized he was helpless.
Finally he slept once again and didn't wake up until dawn came! He missed seeing it's rosy glow! His tummy was really rocking and rolling now! Perhaps he'd get lucky and a tiny ant would sidle into his shell.
Anything at this point would be better than nothing! He let his thoughts wander astray. It helped to pass the time until he could figure things out. Lost in his daydreams he was startled at the sudden tap tap tapping on the outside of his shell.
He wondered who it could be! "Perhaps this was someone who could help me!" , he thought to himself.
"Hello Tortoise? Are you awake? It's just me Hare. I came by to congratulate you on your winning the race yesterday. I am sorry I was such an egotistical snot before. I think I could learn much from you. Will you accept my apology? I am sorry I was such a poor sport before! Can we please be friends? I truly admire you! "
Tortoise moved by the Hare's sincerity, albeit unable to poke his head out was still able to speak. "Hello Hare! I think you need to accept my apology first! I realize I was acting like an insufferable bore myself and a very poor winner too! I accept your apology! Will you accept mine? "
Hare jumped up and down with joy! "Thank You oh Thank you Tortoise! I was so afraid you would never be able to forgive me and I wouldn't have blamed you if you hadn't! Please come out so we can celebrate!"
"Alas", cried poor Tortoise forlornly "I can't come out, I am stuck!"
"Stuck!" exclaimed Hare,"Why whatever do you mean?"
"It's my head, it's grown 10 sizes too big and now I am imprisoned within my own shell!", Tortoise was embarrassed having to explain his dilemma. Having a 'Big head' caused from an overblown ego was nothing to boast about.
"I'll do anything I can to help, just name it!" proclaimed Hare assuredly.
"Thank you Hare! Thank you so much! I just don't what can be done! Perhaps we could use alot more help. Would you mind terribly asking some of the others if they would mind?", asked the much humbled Tortoise.
"I don't mind at all ! I'll return as swift as I can, you can count on me, I promise!", said the Hare reassuringly and off he hopped.
The others were reluctant to jump to the aide of Tortoise considering his obnoxiousness the prior day. Fortunately Hare got them to listen and every last one of them agreed to help Hare rescue Tortoise.
"Hare lead the way!", shouted the rescue party. Hare eagerly began his long hop toward Tortoises present location. With the rest of the party in full pursuit.
Hare hoped they would not be too late!
Meantime Tortoise weak from lack of nourishment and water was drifting in and out of a restless sleep. Hare had given him his word and he must have faith in him to keep it. "He will keep it, I know he will return." he repeated this over to himself so many times that it resembled a mantra like chant!
Tortoise was awakened by a loud raucous! "We're here Tortoise we're here to help you! Wake up sleepyhead wake up!", all of the rescue party frantically cried while simultaneously tap tap tapping noisely upon the back of his shell.
Groggy from sleep it took a moment for the Tortoise to remember what was happening. He attempted to push his head out and jostled his memory
"I am sorry for all this trouble. I am not sure there is anything that can be done to help me. I was such a fool yesterday! I am afraid it swelled my head. I only won by default not because I was better than Hare! Today our roles are reversed and Hare is the Victor! For if it were Hare stuck in here instead of me help would have been much slower in coming at the slow pace I always walk. What Hare has shown all of us today is that perseverance is what counts whether it is a slow-paced walk or a hopping-fury! Everyone of us here today are winners in our own special way!"
A strange thing happened after Tortoise finished speaking!
The rescue party were choked up with tears which landed inside poor Tortoises shell! Then it began to rain , as if even they had been moved by Tortoises words.
The tears of the rescue party mingled with the rain drops. Tortoise's shell was gettng flooded.
Soon he was submersed in a bath of salty tears and rain drops!
The rescuers were afraid he would drown. They were going to tip him on end. When suddenly something remarkable happened! Tortoise poked his head out! The rain-tear bath had worked a miracle and reduced the swelling from his head. He was back to normal once again. Or almost normal. He had learned a valuable lesson from this experience and he vowed not to forget it!
Everyone jumped up and down with joy and declared the rest of the day a celebration! It was the best time they had ever had and they were positive,as am I, that it wouldn't be their last!

There once was a strange universe full of giant blocks of floating cheese. On these giant blocks were faces, separated by great distances, such that they were unable to communicate with the other faces on their own block.
Occasionally when two blocks of cheese passed by each other like ships in the night, the faces on opposite facing blocks were able to communicate with each other. In time they developed their own distinctive languages. The cheese universe was also fraught with danger, since there also existed giant rats, floating in the void. Sometimes the rats would float near enough to a block of cheese that they were able to latch on to the block and begin eating the cheese, feasting away at the block until it was nothing.
But sometimes the faces on the cheese were also able to bite into a rat appendage - biting with such ferociousness that the rat was sent screaming back into the void from whence it came.
If the block of cheese wasn't damaged too badly it could eventually regenrate.
In time the faces on the cheese-blocks were able to develop their language and science to such a high degree that they transcended the limited cheese universe and were able to explore the higher dimensions of existence, in the never ending story...

The reason they don't tell you what happens is so that some people will be up all night in cold sweats trying to figure it out.
But I will tell you the secret. One of two things happen.
1. They have kids and grow old. Their kids put them in an old folks home where they wear depends.
2. They have kids, get sick of each others **** and divorce. Then go into an old folks home and wear depends.
See now, don't you feel better?

There are by no ability any chuffed endings... The tortis went back into his shell and died, Gold expenses will plummit and that they'll starve and would desire to consume the duck, The prince would have human babies yet they'll study to hop formerly strolling, No She went into destiny marvel & killed her self.... Hansel & Grettle became diabetic from ingesting all that sugar and back then they did no longer have a treatment and that they died.
