My internet (which is wireless DSL) is extremely unreliable. Sometimes I'll click on a link, and it will just not ever open. Firefox will display the loading bar, but it will remain empty. I regularly have to click on a link a few times before it actually starts to load, if it ever does. Sometimes it works flawlessly, especially if I'm using Google tool bar to search. Also, when a page is loading, it will just stop, and leave the page partially loaded.

I use windows xp, with firefox and wireless DSL.

Thanks

Sound's like wireless Interference.
Chances are it is a cordless Phone in use. This affects all wireless networks.
I would try to change the channel to the highest one you can 11. Many wireless Routers ship with the channel set at 6 and if there are others in your area you are competeing with others and this will cause slow sluggish connections and if you add that someone using a wireless phone that is using the same frequency as your wireless router thats your problem.

Most problems with the explorer I've seen are because some other software using the resources that the explorer need, this add ware, search bars, companions and crap make more complicated for the SysOp to close the application. Rather than reinstall or overwrite newer versions, you should install the trash software you have on your hard drive, run an spy ware application, a full scan from your anti virus, and after that, clear all your temporal directories from Internet and windows. I hope it helped you, if you need further assistance send me an IM
