Well, I have a degree in programming in which you are pretty much FORCED to use all things Microsoft. I actually prefer Linux. I have had Ubuntu Linux for quite a while now and it ROCKS. It's SO much more stable than windows, it's FREE, it's automatic, it easy to learn, and it got me through all my jams when windows decided it was going to mutiny on me.
Not only that, but now Dell has got a computer now with Ubuntu on it right from the factory.

I prefer Windows XP professional because I am accustomed to using it, and never had any problems. I have heard linux is a good os and am considering it in my next computer build.
