I'm not fat, but looking at the average model, I'm definitely not as thin as they are. I would like to try out modeling (open calls or something), and I've been told that I have the face for it, and I was just wondering if I'm too curvy. I'm 5'8.5'' and my measurements are 34-26.5-36.5. I read that the average model was 33-23-33, so that didn't make me feel much better...I know I shouldn't compare myself, but...PLEASE criticize and be harsh all you want, I won't get hurt.

Though you are thin, modeling is VERY competitive because so many girls want to work as a model. I think that you could find work as a model though it would be much harder for you than someone who is a smaller size (most models need to be able to fit into sample size clothing form designers, I think sample sizes are 1-2).

Id rather curvy cuz if the models are too skinny and like anorexic like then thats just gonna tell teenage girls like me that its okay to weigh 80 pounds and its not i agree with u that the girl on americas next top model is perfect and i do look up to her

Go To Spain or Europe They want more curvy models and think about it most models that make it big are european south american african models and plus fashion is bigger over of the other side of the world so try it over there... you are fine for modeling buy American high fashion tends to lean towards the more anorexic looking girls. IT depends on the type of modeling u go into, i am the same measurements but 5'10 and i couldn't go into high fashion cause i would be considered "too big" but you can do it, if u really want to model just try Europe

There are many types of "models"....the supermodel and runway type will be a reach for you. However, look into catalog modeling or becoming a promotional model. (they always look for curvier girls and the pay is great).

You should totally try out. It doesn't matter what your body looks like our how " Fat and skinny people are ". Just be yourself , and rock that catwalk! Don't worry about your weight because that isn't bad at all and remember everyone is beautiful on the inside!

You are obviously in really great shape, don't worry about some s looking like a bunch of bones put together, women like seeing s who they can relate to, I know that I do! I hope you get some jobs, you sound like you should! Good luck!

If there is such a thing as a woman being "too curvy" to model- then you're NOT it. You sound PERFECT to me- & anyone who says otherwise- needs to buy a new pair of specticles!
