I'm curious as why you think that age determines how to express love? Of course as we mature, so do our relationships. But a woman of 25 is really seeking similar affection and levels of attention as a woman of 40.

I talk to hundreds of women each year about their intimate lives and I can tell you that romance doesn't have to be fan fare and flourish. It is the level of intimacy that matters. True and meaningful communication, heartfelt listening, genuine compliments, simple caresses, drawing her a bath, giving her a massage. These equate to romance.

You need to be true to yourself and do what comes naturally. I cannot tell you how many women are just wanting their partner's undivided attention. They want to be the center of their world for just a moment. They want to feel loved and appreciated and NOT just so it leads to sex. LOL!

I would seriously like to know why you feel that age determines how a person should show their affection.

Use your imagination. If your 40 and you cannot think of romantic things, go read some hallmark cards. By 40, you should have a steady job and some cash. Do a weekend getaway. Flowers, dinner, a concert. Have some fun.

just be urself and give her a small ,less expensive card and say u didnt want to spend money on a card because u still have another half a liftime left to spend together and it doesnt have to be that only when u give a card do u show love....dont forget her birthday and just get her a chocolate and dont forget ur Wedding Anniversary....have some small surprise for her....when u have a fight...the best way to make up is in the bed....u know what to do.....she will get cool

Age is one factor. Do you have a stable job and decent income at 40 is the most important factor? If you do, then you can afford the "finer things in life" and your target females are easier to define. You take things slower, to scenic places, wineries, sunset restaurants, and so forth.

If your wallet is empty, sorry, no ideas. Offer to help women carry their groceries, I guess. Or go to libraries and look intellectual.
