To those who lean on the Bible for their homophobic ways...?

Do you also give up hot dogs? What about lobster, will you pass up a good lobster dinner? Women, do you shun all jeans, slacks, or any types of pants? And guys, are you all growing out your beards? Because, you know, where the Bible condemns homosexuality, it also condemns eating pig or shellfish, women wearing men's clothing, and men shaving. But I see you all choose to ignore those sections. You believe they are outdated in today's society and no longer pertain to people today.

...So why do you believe hate still has a place in today's world? How can you say everyone is made in God's image and likeness, and then turn around and say that God doesn't want homosexuality? It's not a choice, it's been proven. You're just too ignorant to understand that.

I'm tired of watching my gay, lesbian, bi, transsexual friends or relatives be hated by society because they simply know how to love.

Yes, they know how to love. That's a trait you'd do well to learn.

Although I am a believer,that is why I choose not to go to church,too many people judge others and they pick and choose from the bible too much.No one has a right to judge anyone else except God.

Which parts of the bible says that you can't eat hotdog, lobster, can't shave, that women can't wear any types of pants etc?

Maybe you can point out the verses which states all those?

You are comparing MOSES law with something that God Himself says is abomination in His sight. You are also forgetting that Jesus Christ came to make a NEW covenant with us offering salvation to the Gentile as well as the Jew. God destroyed entire CITIES for the sin of homosexuality (Genesis 19.) I don't recall the Bible ever saying He destroyed even one person for the "sin" of eating a hot dog. Also, where in the Bible does it say that women shouldn't wear jeans or pants? I've been raised in church & attended a Christian school & I've never seen a reference to that. It says men should dress as men & women should dress as women. That also applies DIRECTLY to your homosexual & cross-dressing friends who try to act like, look like & dress like the opposite sex, men & women included.

Final note, I do not HATE anyone. I hate seeing people DIE for their choice of lifestyle, be that someone who chooses to have sex with the same gender, someone who OD's on drugs, or someone who murders another person. To a Christian it's not hate that's felt but sadness at a life wasted in pursuit of carnal pleasures. Hebrews 11:25 says there is "pleasure in sin for a season." Hebrew 13:8 says God is "the same yesterday, today & forever." Whatever He saw as sin in the Bible days He sees as sin now. The world chooses to label us as homophobes because it gives no value to our beliefs. I'm not AFRAID of homosexuals nor do I HATE homosexuals. I cannot condone their lifestyle because to do so would make me just as guilty for their sin. I won't have the blood of thousands on my hands just because I want to be politically correct.
