Ok ok... now that is so silly I cannot even believe you asked it!
Personally cats make me ill unto death due to allergies. I like them but do not go near them for much more than a pet or two...
Dogs, I adore. I have always been a dog person and know them well. Dogs are protective and best friends, when did a cat ever protect its Mistress in case of an attack?
Sigh, Sandy, just when you start to make progress, you fall back on such silly questions that I just wonder if you will ever get it.
You would rob girls of the joys of the total adoration and sharing of a dog because of "ladylikeness"? Tell all the ladies of the great royal houses how unladylike they are. Is the Queen of England unladylike because she keeps dogs? I think you are so off base that I want to weep for you.

Ok, first thing first, it doesn't depend on the breed, it's the personality. Any dog can be vicous, hard to train, nervous etc. it depends on how the owner brings it up. But males and females? You have to consider everything - a female goes into heat and can be very snappy during. Males on the other hand are very territorial and always try to be the top dog, especially if you own other dogs. Girls cost more to spay than dogs. But if you're prepared to take care of a dog, both are fine and a joy to keep. Good Luck!

I thank you for your concern, that's very sweet of you; only those litter pans can be a messy job too and with a dog all you need is a paper bag and a pooper scooper and you're all set, so don't you be worrying now; us gals will be just fine. Now speaking of messes those baby diapers can be quite a mess, just you wait when your wife has to change a diaper, when they nurse it's like it explodes all over the place, it gets on their clothes and whatnot. Remember it isn't ladylike for a lady to clean up awful messes; you said it not me.

I'm surprised at your opinion on this. Sure, dogs can be messy, but so can babies. Isn't it your view that women should take care of babies? I would think that you'd want girls to take care of the dogs as practice for caring and cleaning up after a child.

The owner should take care of them.
If the owner of the dog is the boy, the boy should take care of it.
If the owner of the cat is the boy, the boy should take care of it.
If the owner of the dog is the girl, the girl chould take care of it.
If the owner of the cat is the girl, then the girl should take care of it.
It's not hard to understand.
P.S. You think cats can't get messy? You must not own one.

The couple next door have 3 boys. They have a cat, no dog. Guess that cat's just SOL.
The couple on the other side has three girls. They have a dog. He seems ok. Maybe the Dad takes care of it.
We have a cat, a rabbit, one daughter and two sons living with us.
What's the rabbit rule? And don't say Mom does it....

no because i love dogs!!! i'll let the boys play with the kittys... that it soo shallow to think that... jeez... shame on you! go to your room! see, girls have to take care of the dogs, because when the boys are grounded there the only ones who are allowed to take the dogs out on a walk. but if girls arent supposed to get messy than the guys should clean the litter box too

That's sexist and ridiculous. Females can and DO get 'messy' you know. And to separate the kind of pets one can have by gender, is uncalled for, ridiculous, and enslaving. And it's not like anyone cares what you think because your always thinking the same thing and it's always sexist and chauvinistic
