Are you offering food first, then milk? How about self-fed food like banana or cheerios? If he's happy and giggling, I'd say he's okay. It's probably just his teething. You might offer cut-up pieces of popsicles, if he's teething on top, that will feel good.

Don't worry about it too much. When he's hungry, he's going to eat what is put in front of him to alleviate his hunger. Just keep offering nutritious age-appropriate food and call the pediatrician if this goes on too long.

My daughter did that at 6 months. He may be teething but my daughter stopped eating baby food then. We started to give her mushy people food and she has never looked back. See where it goes.... if starts to lose a lot of weight. I would call the doctor. But give a few weeks. Maybe he's done with it. Besides, it has no flavor or seasoning. People food is more exciting.

I actually just asked this question a few days ago.

Have you been giving him table food?? This is why I have this problem....but my son is 10 months old...so it is time to be introducing him to regular food anyways.

From your question though, it seems like he doesn't want food only milk...am I right?

I noticed that when my son was cutting...he only wanted milk. Maybe the sucking helped his gums? He also doesn't like to eat solids if he is sick (which, so far has only been once). Could your son be cutting a tooth or sick maybe?? I would call your doctor just be sure! Good luck!!

He's fine. Offer whatever you're having, and don't worry if he refuses. He doesn't need solids now--they're just for practice at this age. All he needs is your milk. Are you using jars? Have you ever tasted the jarred food? It doesn't have any olive oil, garlic or pepper in it! I wouldn't eat it either. My second child loved pureed table food at that age--especially garlic lime chicken! Don't worry--olive oil is a healthy fat, and spices won't hurt anyone.

It's just a phase. He won't starve -- he knows when and how much to eat. Just keep trying the baby food and eventually he'll come around. And in the meantime, if he denies the baby food, just stick with the breastmilk.

he's probably exploring new taste of food. give him different variety of foods and he will eventually liked one. If he will not, then maybe there's something wrong. He might be teething or is sick of something. anyway, breastmilk is still best for babies up to 2 years old!

It is just a phase! My little girl did the same thing. The trick is finding out what he wants this week! lol. What worked for me was pureeing regular food. It tastes better!
