I'm 18 years old and I've been shaving my pubic hair for a long time. However, I don't like doing it much because I -always- seem to get those nasty red bumps that itch like crazy. I think it has something to do with my razor (I've used several, VENUS, bic, store brands). But, I was wondering if anyone has a razor they've had good luck with when it comes to shaving. whether it's manual or an electric one solely for shaving that area. I had thought about buying one, but... I wasn't sure if they would work. Any suggestion would be helpful.

The key to a perfect shave, Neosporin, and any decent razor. This comes straight from Jenna Jameson. Use the Neosporin just like shaving cream, works like a charm everytime.

Schick Intutiton. Shave in the direction of hair growth (down). Do not shave against the hair like you do on your legs. This helps with the red bumps and itching.

i like the schick quatro. i think it def. works the best because it had those moisturizing strips that really work. also dont shave against the natural way the hair grows, because that is what's most likely causing the red bumps. like if you're shaving the area in front (not around the vaginal opening) then don't shave up, shave down, it'll cause the least irritation.

you know any razor will give you those itchy red bumps. Try finding a shaving cream that will help reduce the problem.

Maybe you have some kind of allergy to the blades. Have you tried waxing? I know... it sounds very painful, but after a couple of sessions your skin will feel so smooth and the hair will grow less and thinner. I tell you... yeah it's torture but it's well worthy!! Look for a good professional waxer in your area.
