I've bruised easily before, but lately, it seems whenever I hit something (mainly my arms or legs) I get a bruise. I have no other symptoms except tiredness, probably from baby!, and sometimes don't even remember what could have caused such a noticeable bruise. It started happening about 2 months ago when my hair started falling out (which I know is normal for a lot of women about 4months AFTER you have a baby), has anyone else experienced this. I am breastfeeding too, and don't know if that can cause maybe a vitamin deficiency???? Thanks for the help.....and yes I know I should see a doctor which I have an appointmnet for in a week!!!!!!!!

triple your vitamin intake, you are depleted. If you are not better in a month or so, see your doctor.

Sounds like you might be anemic. You bruise and tire easily if you are. My baby is 2 months old, I'm also breastfeeding, and I'm still taking my prenatal vitamins.

However, the other day... I found out that I was anemic (low in iron) again. I was taking extra iron pills on top of my prenatals when I was pregnant. But, I stopped when it went back to normal. Now, I guess I might have to get back on them again... Sometimes when I'm nursing, I feel like I'm about to fall asleep cause I'm so tired and drained. Now, I know why.

Easily bruising is usually a lack in Iron in your diet, don't take iron pills without a perscription they are very hard on your tummy, unless you buy Floradix a liquid brand which is easy to absorb and doesn't cause constipation. You can buy it at most health food stores and is safe to take without a doctors advise.

Bruising can also be more serious and this is why you need to have it checked out. A blood test will be done.

Try to eat food rich in iron right now. And pair it with Vitamin B12 which helps you absorb the iron.

If you're nursing, you need to be taking your prenatal vitamins still. It sounds like you may have some anemia going on. Also keep in mind that your body and hormones are on one heck of rollercoaster ride while its trying to adjust to NOT being pregnant anymore. Always consult your doctor with ANY concerns you may have. Remember: there's no such thing as a dumb question!

I always figured it was from all the stumbling around in the dark house I was doing that caused the unexplained bruises. I'm not sure what my excuse is now, because I still get some, but I was severely weak and clumsy for a few months after my babies were born. I'm still clumsy, but I'm strong now.

I noticed that happened to me, but I never put the 2 together Well it seemed to happen more when I was actually pregnant. I just chalked it up to me possibly being more clumsy and bumping into more things since I was prengnant and not remembering. :) My son is 10 months old now and I have never had any tests come back saying anything was wrong with me.

I wish you the best. :)
