Anyone care to comment on the "finalists" for being the seven wonders of the world all being man-made?

I find it so hard to believe that we aren't looking at things as awesome as a raging volcano, tsunamis, the Swiss Alps, the Himalayas, the Grand Canyon, the birth of a star, the death of a star, to name just a few. Wonder why? maybe I missed it and it was a qualification that submissions had to be manmade??

If you are talking about the Seven New Wonders of the World, one of the qualifications for being on the list is that the wonder is man-made. This list is to compete with the original Seven Wonders of the World in Roman times, which were all man-made.

I saw the list too, never thought of that. But I think they were looking for stuff built in the last 2000 years, so the grand canyon is a ecological creation. wonderful as it is .
Maybe they should have a natural 7 wonders of the world.

A newspaper was questioning why there are no religious representation in the 7 wonders, like the Vatican or even the last supper painting?

I believe there is a natural wonders of the world. The grand Canyon , Victoria Falls etc etc. I think the Seven Wonders of the World will possibly inspire others to create bigger and grander wonders. Nothing like a challenge to spur a creative mind.

The original Seven Wonders were all man-made. There has been a "Natural Wonders" list in the past in addition.

Humans can not sit and grade wonders made by God. So all wonders assessed by us should be human made. But what I too haven`t understood is why limit human wonders to seven, not 10 or 15.

and we can also do amazing things
