My favorite ww2 tank is the panther. Great armor, armament and performance. Plus it looks really cool. What's your favorite ww2 tank? Why?

The Tiger was well armed and armored, but lacked mobility, and had problems with throwing tracks
The T-34 was an excellent tank, but by 1943, was outclassed by Tigers and Panthers
The Sherman was mechanically dependable and easy to mass produce, but relatively thinly armored, and prone to "brew up" when hit. Also poorly armed, except for the Firefly, with its 17 pdr. gun. But a high centre of gravity made it too visible.

King Tiger, because of its sheer power. It was the most powerful tank of World War Two. Also, it looked pretty cool.

The Sherman was an awesome tank but the armor sucked. The manuevability of the Sherman was second to none but it could never even come close to hurting or withstanding a hit from a tank like the Panther. According to Wikipedia, for every Panther destroyed, the Allies lost 5 Shermans. It is probably a cop-out, but my favorite tank in WWII are the really advanced ones that barely saw action, except in the very last few months of the war: Either the Iosif Stalin tank or the M26 Pershing. If you look at a picture of the M26, it looks much more like a "modern" tank than the other WWII tanks.

I think I have a clue what yours is :) This is such a subjective and highly variable thing. When doing scale model projects my preference is for early-war German armor - Panzer II, III and IV. Visually I find them more interesting and since I hate painting camo scheme's (panzer grey all the way baby) these are more suitable to my "style", such as it is. My opinions about various vehicles tend to fluctuate over time so I don't think I've ever developed a favorite. I suppose I could argue that my favorite might be the T-26, since (lately at least) I've had a stronger interest in the Vickers 6-Ton Light Tank than most others. Yeah, I'll run with that, if for no other reason than nobody else is going to choose it. People like to go for the easy, obvious choices like Tigers, Panthers, Sherman's and T-34's.

The Panther for the same reasons.......
Then again the Sherman Firefly was pretty cool. Fast, heavy firepower and lots of them made to overwhelm Evil.

King Tiger with the Henshel turret....nothing on the battlefield compared to it. The 503rd Heavy Tank Battalion was a force to be dealt with. It was an independent force attached to various divisions on the eastern front.

Sherman Jumbo.
Yes, all that extra armor made it horribly slow. But it must have been a nasty shock for the German crew trying to kill it when the shells just bounced off.

Well, they all look ugly to me. The Tiger was best for maneuverability, but had a lot of break down problems and the Germans had a hard time keeping them running. (especially when they ran out of gas, hehe)
I loved the T34 because it was practically indestructible and could run in all kinds of weather, never froze up.
But my favorite is the Sherman, because it saved a lot of lives in WWII.
