was it snape that was listening to trelawny(?) and dumbledor when she was telling him the prophecy?????? i dont remember. poor misunderstood snape

He's not as misunderstood at the poor basilisk...poor thing, forced to kill by a pyschotic eleven year old who needs to learn to quit picking up things that don't belong to her.

Yes. He was the one listening outside the door when Trawlany (sp) said the prophecy to dumbledore. He was discovered halfway throught the prediction and didn't here the part of the prophecy where it said that harry would defeat the dark lord.

Dumbledore explains that it was and that Snape claims he was sorry for feeding the info to Voldemort.
