Some great movies from the seventies and other close to that period I recommend:

1. Summer of '42 (1971)
2. Butteflies are Free (1974)
3. Grease (1978)
4. Cactus Flower (1969)
5. Foul Play (1978)
6. The Owl and the Pussycat (1970)
7. What's Up Doc? (1972)
8. Young Frankenstein (1974)
9. Blazing Saddles (1974)
10. Barefoot in the Park (1967)

You can also try The Way We Were (1973)- considered a classic though not one of my favorites. I tend to prefer romances and comedies so my scope may be a little limited as far as my choice. Hope you'll give these a try if you haven't seen them, though. There all fairly good and enjoyable! Happy viewing!

i recommend Secret Window. if you don't like scary movies you can still watch it cause it's more of a suspense movie and don't be alarmed when you see the "based on the bestselling novel by Stephen King" cause it's not scary at all. i don't like scary movies and i like this movie. it also has Johnny Depp in it.
