Wow. Batters are much more valuable than pitchers in fantasy. Batters play 6-7 times a week when pitchers usualy play once a week. That is a pretty piss poor move out of you and it should cost you. Reyes is one of the most productive players in fantasy and is without a doubt the top SS. Dumb move.

it depends on ur needs. Personally, I think most SPs are disposable. However Santana is 40-4 lifetime after the allstar break. I would still rather have Reyes. Just because he was 40-4 in the past, it still means he has lost 4 times meaning he can be beat. The way scoring goes nowadays, any guy could be dominant one week and horrid the next

I wouldnt have made the trade. Many pitchers go on hot streaks making it easy to pick up a pitcher for a few starts. Also Reyes and a free agent pitcher will end up being worth more than Santana and a free agent shortstop.
There are 5 starting pitchers per team while there is only 1 starting shortstop per team.

No your not nuts Santana is insane in the 2nd half of the season and you could still pick up a decent SS and he can produce BA. and maybe some SB.

unless you have a lot of other guys that can steal and a good backup shortstop this is a bad trade. Jose Reyes is the better fantasy player.

Take Victorino off Waivers. he's a techniques too useful to pass away there. I picked him up on all and sundry of my communities. I traded Rollins and Dontrelle Willis for Reyes in the previous interior the 300 and sixty 5 days (because of the fact i replaced into dropping in SBs) and that i've got long previous from competing for 4th or 5th to 1st place maximum days (because of the fact this league replaced right into a roto league). i'm additionally paying for and advertising Verlander for Brian Roberts on the 2nd because of the fact i'm susceptible at 2B (even although i don't actual want the steals anymore on account that i've got long previous from close to final to 9th place out of 12, although i could desire to apply the batting properly-known). on your concern, i could propose making the commerce of Reyes for Rollins. you have not got adequate potential to stay in video games and could be waiting to greater suitable than make up the steals (incredibly with Crawford and Victorino). you should additionally go searching the waiver twine and %. up any gamers whom you are able to greater healthy on your roster that have important fee. whether you do not play them, a minimum of no one else is, so as that they are able to't injury you. This concepts-set is named "blockading" and is something you should do in case you have the room.

its a pretty decent move...but you better pick up a steals and runs guy. get mike bourn from the phillies. he'll get a ton of runs batting ahead of Ryan Howard and apparently a nasty base-stealer as well.

Well, if you're in great shape in runs & steals but really need wins, strikeouts, ERA and WHIP, then you probably made a smart move.

It depends on who you have as a back up SS. If it is someone at least decent then you will be fine.
