I think it would have to be Joe Barry Carroll from Boston to Golden State for Robert Parish and a #1 draft pick, which became Kevin McHale.

The biggest trade in NBA history in terms of number of players teams etc happened when Antoine Walker was traded to Miami back in 2005. It involved 13 players and 5 teams. To this day it is the biggest trade in the history of the NBA. In terms of blockbuster, or, impact players etc, I would have to say that even though Magic ended up in LA via a trade, and, Kobe ended up in LA due to his rights being traded away by Charlotte for Vlade Divac, and Bill Russell ended up in Bean Town via the Celts acquiring his rights by trading Ed McCauley----I'm going to have to say that the trade that sent "the Big Dipper" Wilt (the Stilt) Chamberlain to Phily was the biggest trade in the history of the league. Chamberlain was dealt by the Warriors for 3 stiffs in 1965. Chamberlain went on to dominate while in Phily winning 3 consecutive MVPs. THe same year (65) of the trade, He immediately catapulted his team into the Eastern Conf Finals. A year later( 66) he led Phily to their first championship, oddly enough they beat the Warriors for the title. THATS BIG!

Let's go with a different answer. The Charlotte Hornets trading the rights to Kobe Bryant to the Los Angeles Lakers for Vlade Divac. Not only giving the Lakers the cap room to sign Saquille O'Neal but 3 championships thus far.

i think it was the trade for pippen to the bulls. i think it was the blazers? him and jordan got togather and became the best one two punch in nba history. or the trade that sent kobe to the lakers or the trade that sent wilt to philly or the one that sent robert parsh to boston or maybe the spurs sending rodman to the bulls in 1995 he won 3 more rings.

The rights to Danny Ferry for Ron Harper. The cavs went from a contender to the worst team in the league for over a decade.

kobe's trade to the lakers is understandable for the hornets. remember, kobe came from high school then. he could have been the kobe today ot the kwame brown of today.

the biggest trade i must agree was that of jabbar and wilt.

Considering what they accomplished after being dealt, I'd say the trades of Wilt Chamberlain and of Kareem Abdul-Jabbar......Shaq's trade was big, but he was on the downside of his career when he was dealt. Compare what Chamberlain & Kareem did after their trades, v.s. what Shaq's done in Miami so far.
