First time...?

Today was my first day on learning how to drive. Now I'm scared of trying again. My problem was that I moved the steering wheel to much and when I turn it I cant get it back to normal. I feel like I'm going to crash now. But my question is if most people are scared the first time and about when we'll I stop being scared? Were you scared your first time?

I was scared my first few times actually. They were all with my sister so I wasn't as nervous but I ended up backing up into a tree and scratching her car a bit. I was new and mixed up the pedals. I got better though and I haven't gotten into any real accidents yet after almost a year of driving. Don't worry too much. You will improve over time. Learn from your mistakes.

I don't know of anybody who wasn't scared the first time. You have a lethal weapon in your hands. I have two tips I like to tell new drivers. #1. Be very cautious when driving around rental trucks, (U-haul type.) And also around RVs. Reason? Most people can't handle that big of a vehicle, #2. When driving, always pretend you're wearing dirty underwear. Remember your mom telling you that if you're in an accident, the Doctors and nurses always check them, then call and tell your mom. You do not want the Wrath of mom.

Just be relaxed behind the wheel, because if you're nervous and tense then that's not good. It's normal to be scared at first, but once you get the hang of it, it'll seem like a breeze. Good luck!
