I am a thirteen year old girl and my knee hurts like CRAZY! This happens ALL THE TIME. And it isn't growing pains, because I know what they feel like. It is NOT growing pains, because I'm already finished growing. I mean, it hurts so bad it makes me want to throw up. But it doesn't make me cry because I'm used to it. Advil doesn't help. This has been happening ever since I was like, ten. Is it something I should be worried about? Should I tell someone? What can I do to make it go away? Is it normal? Thank you.

It's not sarcomas. I just looked up the symptoms and there is no lump on my knee.

Oh, and sometimes when I get up, my knees crack. Is this normal?

And my parents just brush this off like nothing. If I tell them to take me to a doctor, they don't take me seriously. They don't understand.

if you're athletic it may be something related to that. i have had knee problems since i was 13. if it is sports related don't keep playing if it's bugging you, it will only get worse.

I had the same problem growing up. My knee caps would dislocate and evertime I was on my period my knees would hurt so bad I could hardly walk. I just found out last week that I have an incrediblly abnormal knee condition called osteonecrosis. In lamens terms, my knee bones are dieing. I am not trying to scare you because this is incredably rare, but you should definantly see a doctor about it, and don't let them tell you that nothing is wrong!!

omg sweety see a doctor. I don't mean to scare you its just that I know someone who went through (and is still going through) knee problems. You could have torn your meniscus during physical activity, an accident, who knows.. and this is not good news. You may have partially worn your cartilage out and pieces may be floating around your joints. Do your knees ever get stuck? The clicking sound may be due to this cartilage loss. If you have not been injured I would look into something else..but if you have please see an orthopedic surgeon at once because it is not a pleasant thing to go through!

HOpe its not arthritis..
How active are you?
hmmmm...if this pain is really out of control like that and making you cry honey then i'd truly make a fuss about it and get my parents to take me to the doctor. If there is something wrong then its best to nip it in the bud..... you've already had it for 3 yrs...you should NOt have to be enduring this...and since pain killers do not help then it could be indicating its something more.

a doctor will check you out and let you know ...

take care:)

I do not pay so much awareness to the Jonas Brothers, however they do appear kinda poopy. Miley Cyrus turns out like a self-situated complete within the butt who is simply too grown. (Jonas Brothers appear too little one like.) Who do I hate? Courtney Love is gross and ridiculous. Of direction everybody hates Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie is disconnected from truth too. Lady Gaga sucks!!!! She's so unpleasant and untalented. That's it! That's my reply! She had a track approximately dancing and he or she are not able to even transfer. Stupid.

Tell your mother. You should let a doctor take a look. My daughter had painful knees at your age and she had Osgood-Slatters syndrome. No big deal really.

If you're in that much pain that you should get to a doc asap. it could be something really simple that can be fixed easy. my friend used to get bad knee pain too and she got a cortison (sp?) shot and the pain was all gone.

Okay, you're not done growing at 13 trust me. It might be shingles, try asking a doctor to check that out for you.

You should see your doctor. Teens are prone to certain bone cancers (though rare) called sarcomas.

No pain is "normal", your body is trying to tell you something. You really should see your doctor regarding this.
